The University administration sanctions SAC, time spent attending committee and subcommittee meetings is officially considered paid time by the University. 因为 meetings are held during normal office hours, those interested in becoming members of SAC should inform their supervisors before joining the organization. 如果要求, the SAC 执行委员会 or the vice president for human resources will provide any supervisor with information about SAC.

The 职员谘询委员会 was created in September 1992 as the Human Resources 谘询委员会(HRAC). The Saint Louis University administration officially recognized it as a sub-committee of the Human Resources Board and renamed it the 工作人员 Advisory 委员会(SAC)， 1995年7月.
